Book Tour + Review: Three Mages and a Margarita by Annette Marie + Giveaway
Three Mages and a Margarita
by Annette Marie
(The Guild Codex: Spellbound #1)
Publication date: September 14th 2018
Genres: New Adult, Urban Fantasy
Synopsis
It went downhill the moment they asked me to do a trial shift instead of an interview—to see if I’d mesh with their “special” clientele. I think that part went great. Their customers were complete dickheads, and I was an asshole right back. That’s the definition of fitting in, right?
I expected to get thrown out on my ass. Instead, they…offered me the job?
It turns out this place isn’t a bar. It’s aguild. And the three cocky guys I drenched with a margarita during my trial? Yeah, they were mages. Either I’m exactly the kind of takes-no-shit bartender this guild needs, or there’s a good reason no one else wants to work here.
So what’s a broke girl to do? Take the job, of course—with a pay raise.

Note: The three mages are definitely sexy, but this series isn’t a reverse harem. It’s 100% fun, sassy, fast-paced urban fantasy.

My Review
5 Stars
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book has quickly become one of my favorites! I don't even know where to being.
I loved the world that Marie has created and how she decided to set up the magic system in it. The different types of magic users and powers had to be one of my favorite parts. Personally, I like the types of magical worlds where everyone does use or practice magic in the same way. For example, Tori's three mage companions are a pyromage, an electromage, and an aeromage. Each with their own specific magical abilities.
I absolutely loved Tori and her take no crap attitude. Under all her sass though is someone who does cares. Aaron, Kai, and Ezra (the mages) are great and I enjoyed learning about each of them. There is some romance hinted at, but this is not a reverse harem and after reading the story I much prefer it that way.
All in all, this was an incredibly fun read (I read it in a day) and I cannot wait for more.
I am shocked that I have never read a book by this author before and plan to remedy that as soon as possible.
